Pricing questions
Is ShowMaker Studio free to start?
Yes. The free plan covers narrated films built from AI stills — enough to take a project all the way to a finished, watchable cut without a card. Paid plans unlock full video generation, the character library, and watermark-free export.
How does ShowMaker Studio pricing work?
Monthly or annual plans, each including a bucket of credits you spend on video rendering, voiceover, captions, and final composition. Annual billing saves roughly 20%. Subscribers who run out mid-cycle can buy one-time top-up credits at 45 credits per dollar.
Do plan credits roll over?
No. Plan credits expire after 30 days and do not roll over, so the credits in a cycle are best matched to what you'll actually produce that month. One-time top-up packs are there for the months that run over.
What does a scene render cost?
It depends on the AI video model, the shot duration, and the quality tier. Shots are routed per shot rather than per project — premium models for close-ups and dialogue, economy models for wides, cutaways, and inserts — so you aren't paying hero-shot prices for B-roll. Current per-action credit costs are listed on this page.
Can I cancel or pause my plan?
Both, from the account page. Cancelling keeps your plan running to the end of the period you've paid for, and pausing suspends billing while keeping your projects intact so you can resume later.
How do I keep my render costs down?
Approve everything cheap before you buy anything expensive: settle the script, lock the character and location stills, record the voices, and watch the whole thing as a narrated still-motion cut. Rejected video renders are billed like accepted ones, so the number that drives your bill is attempts per shot, not price per clip.
