How to Make an AI Micro Drama in 2 Hours: A Spanish Telenovela Episode, Start to Finish

Episode 3 of Guadalajara, Tonight, our Spanish telenovela, made in about two hours for about 225 credits. Bring the cast over from the last episode, put every character in the right outfit, render each scene as one multishot take, and publish. Two things went wrong along the way: an outfit the episode did not have yet, and a take that put the wrong woman on the terrace. Here is how each one was caught and fixed.

Bring the cast over

Import from episode
1Open Cast and press Import from episode. Episode 3 uses the same people as episode 2, so bring them over instead of drawing them again.

2Pick the episode to copy from, here Ep 2, and tick Cast (characters + wardrobe). Locations, props and scenes can come over too.
Import
3Press Import. Every character comes over with all of their outfits and sheets, so nobody has to be drawn again.

4Open Wardrobe to check. Lucía came over with four outfits, including the white Heir's dress she wears in this episode.

Dress every shot

Convert to multishot
5Open the scene in Scene Flow and press Convert to multishot. The scene becomes one panel: a few beats that render together as one take.
Replace @slug
6The beats name people with plain tags like @luc_a_herrera. Press Replace @slug to swap a tag for one exact outfit.

7Pick the tag on the left and the outfit on the right, then press Replace. It changes every beat in the panel at once.

8The first problem: the beats named an outfit this project did not have yet. Each beat says so in yellow, and the button reads Fix 4 issues to render, so nothing was spent.
Replace 5
9Swap the tag for an outfit the project does have, here the bruised version of her dress, and press Replace. The warnings clear and Render comes back.

10The garden scenes get the same treatment. Here Victoria goes into her cocktail dress and Rodrigo into business casual.

Render scene by scene

11Press Render. Twelve seconds on Wan 3.0 at 480p is about 32 credits, and the dialog shows the price before anything is spent.
Voice lines
12The garden scenes have dialogue, so press Voice lines first. The voiced lines go to the video model with the beats, so the actors speak them.

13Render the next scene. Each one renders on its own, so a problem in one scene never costs you the others.

14Under Caption settings, set the second line to Translate to English. The captions show the Spanish line with the English under it.

15Scene four was the longest at 17 seconds, about 45 credits.

Fix the shot that went wrong

Split into 4 shots
16Scene five's first take put a different woman on the terrace, in a navy dress. Instead of rendering the whole scene again, press Split into 4 shots.
Re-shoot
17Open the wrong shot, press Edit, then Re-shoot. Only this shot renders again: 3 seconds for 14 credits.
Soundkeep the take's soundnew sound from the prompt
18Set Sound to new sound from the prompt, so the audio matches the new picture.

21Press Combine existing shots. It joins the shots back into one take for free, because nothing renders again. The fix cost 42 credits instead of a whole new scene.

Finish and publish

Add card as shot
22Add a Card at the end: a solid two second title card, made as a free animatic shot.
Hits 28 on the cut
23Under Sound, put a riser before the cut and a boom on it.
Generate Show free
24Open the Editor and press Generate Show. It builds the episode for free.

25Score the whole show with a prompt. Pick the Telenovela genre and press Generate. The music drops under the dialogue and comes back up between lines.
Publish episode 3
