The story
"Shatani" is Swahili for devil. The story starts with riders crossing a misty plain. It moves through a talk in a courtyard, a warning and a reveal, and it ends in a trap.
A gray wizard gallops across a highland plateau toward a dark stone tower. At the end of the road, gray riders, a black-robed sorcerer and a betrayal in stone are waiting.
How it was made
The Shatani is a 2-minute, 10-shot fantasy short rendered with Seedance 2.0 inside ShowMaker Studio. It was built to test how well the model holds up over a longer fantasy piece.
The characters, the horse and the locations were named as @references (@gray_wizard, @steed, @wizards_tower, @road_to_tower). That way the same rider, horse and tower show up in every shot.
Each prompt is written as timed beats. The first scene is four shots in 15 seconds. It goes from a low tracking shot of hooves to a crane down onto the rider, then a canter through the tower arch.
The test was about keeping the character and costume steady across about 2:20 of runtime, through mist, torchlight, stone rooms and a fight.
What to take from it
Write a multishot prompt as timed beats, like [00:00–00:03] and [00:03–00:06], with one camera position and one move in each. Then the model gets a shot list instead of a paragraph.
